Martin Jansing was born on 23 October 1964 at Essen, Cloppenburg, Oldenburg, DEU. He was baptized on 1 November 1964 at St Batholomäus Kirche, Essen, Cloppenburg, Oldenburg, DEU; From interview 5/26/95 with Frieda. Martin Jansing was 30 as of 23 October 1994; 30th Birthday

It is typical for the neighbors to give a party to one of their own on various occasions. One of these is the 30th for unmarried men.

Some of the neighbors aare recent immigrants from Kaszakstan in the former USSR. I thought it may be interesting to read some of the cards and presents from them and others:

One needs to remember that these people may speak German but in most cases can only write phonetically because German as a language in school was not available to them in the old USSR.

Traanslation into English: I great you on your birthday and wish you much luck and a long life. I also wish you a hot and beautiful young woman along with so many children as there are grains of sand in the ocean and lice in the trees.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

From the other neighbors:
"Zum 30. Geburtstag von Martin Jansing am 23. Oktober 1994"

Deine Nachbarn.

Hello Again. No, it's no secret. We just didn't make a big deal about it. There's a very nice little Wedding Chapel on

Frankford and Welsh Ave. It's a very old and historical building that they made into a wedding chapel. It's all original

from as far back as George Washington. A man lived there who used to paint portraits, and Washington stayed there

when he had his painting done. Our friends names are John Dougherty and Patricia Moore. They took pictures and they're making us a CD. So I'll send you some pictures when I get it. Yes, Marty told his sister in her birthday card.

It was short and sweet, very nice. The minister was lovely. The chapel was just perfect for us... Quaint and just

right for us. My job is having a party for me on Oct. 8th. The guys Marty works with were great. So, that's about

It... It's fine that you told Angela and Bernie. We were going to, but now they know, so that's good. As soon as I get the pictures, I'll send them to you.
Love,
Janet
